4 HOME REMEDIES TO STOP ARMPIT PERSPIRATION
If you've already gone through puberty, odds are that you've experienced some type of excessive underarm sweating at some point in your life. For some people, excessive sweating (also known as hyperhidrosis) is a daily issue, while for others it's only occasional. Regardless of how often it happens, it can be embarrassing and uncomfortable. Here are some home remedies believed to help treat excessive underarm sweating.
ConstarchSome people find that when deodorant and antiperspirant don't do the trick, dusting a fine layer of corn starch on the underarms may work. The cornstarch is believed to help by absorbing moisture before it becomes excessive, but it can be a little unsightly, especially if you're wearing dark, sleeveless clothing.
Apple cider vinegarApple cider vinegar is popular for being able to treat a countless variety of ailments and be used for multiple household purposes. One of these uses includes treating excessive underarm sweating. Consuming a tablespoon of room-temperature apple cider vinegar daily is believed to help prevent excessive underarm sweating. Some even apply apple cider vinegar topically to the armpits with a cotton ball or rag to stop perspiration that has already begun.
SageMany people who suffer from excessive underarm sweating have found relief in the form of sage. Of course, sage won't work immediately, or even after a few days, but after consistent use, sage has been shown to dramatically decrease the amount of underarm perspiration a person experiences. Sage can be eaten as a seasoning in foods or brewed and drank like a tea. Cooled sage tea (or left over tea bags) can be used topically beneath the arms as well.
Wheat grassWheat grass may not taste the best, but it may help treat excessive underarm sweating. Wheatgrass contains chlorophyll which helps to produce more oxygen and kill bacteria. A shot of wheat grass daily for at least two weeks may help reduce the amount of perspiration as well as reduce the odor emitted with perspiration.
